Tutte ‘e strade pórteno a Roma, 2014. Archival inkjet print, 50 x 33 cm.

Tutte ‘le strade pórteno a Roma (All the roads lead to Rome) is an action I made outside the principal train station in Rome, Termini, with the intention to give voice in a symbolic way to all those homeless people who sleep around it. People who, for one reason or another, lost their home or simply migrate from another country seeking a better life, but unfortunately they found the opposite.

The translation to english of Termini, is terminal, so in a metaphoric way it makes me think about the sad situation of these people living in the street. They arrive looking for a better future, but like a terminal patient in the hospital, it seems that they are nearer to the end of their lives.

So I just hope that this image can help them not to be forgotten.
