Pero yo ya no soy yo, ni mi casa es ya mi casa, 2015

Pero yo ya no soy yo, ni mi casa es ya mi casa (But now I am not I, nor is my house now my house), 2015.                                                                                          Installation. Rubble and sand. Dimensions variable.                                                           Video and photo documentation.

The theme of the show was “the house”, so I decided to create a space of my own with sand, water, pressure and the rubble found in-situ after the exhibition space was remodeled. It was also a gesture towards the architectonic space, since part of the rubble was integrated back to the building from which it came, at least until the exhibition lasted.

The resulting negative space not only determines my relationship between the surroundings, but also defines the body from which it takes its shape as a sculpture, as both cast and mold, as positive and negative, as content and container. Undoubtedly, a closeness to the idea of the grave.
