Materasso is a sculpture made with found objects in the streets of Palermo that refers to the architectural environment of the city as well as the situation of homeless immigrants in its streets.

The shape of the mattress recalls to the ornamental decoration of an ionic capital, a body in tension of those who cannot rest, or as a kind of body shell that works as a metaphor for those of us who have a nomadic life and carry our “home” on our backs.
