Video documentation of a performance in the galleries by Calixto Ramírez is projected at the start and 30-minute mark of every hour. Remnants from the initial action remain on the walls and floor of the museum, collapsing the digital space of video with the physical realities that shape it. For Como te lo digo (How can I say it), the artist contorts himself into various positions and turns the Museo Tamayooo into a percussive instrument, attempting to communicate something that the artist cannot adequately express in words. Pounding the walls with bricks and stones sourced from the local environs of Chapultepec Park, the rhythmic work has a fleeting presence within the exhibition. A projection of the artist appears briefly and then disappears again, contributing to the overall sonic composition of OTR!S MUND!S as if Ramírez were a specter occupying the building’s hollowness and provoking the integrity of the architecture.
